This afternoon I need to take back an overdue rented dvd. Fuck off late fees, I'm glad you're gone, now I'll rape your mother and kill your sister.
 But yeah, the dvd I have to take back is Exorcist: The Beginning, and those of you who haven't seen it should do so. It was fucking awesome. Whether you're watching a pack of wild hyeenas tear a ten year old boy to pieces alive, a Nazi officer shoot a little girl through the skull, or a tribe of Africans attempt to exorcise a possessed ten year old boy using voodoo magic; you're having a good time.
Violent and/or scary movies are pretty awesome, really. People's various reasons for actually enjoying being scared shitless can be amusing. It's been theorized that the reason often women are more interested in horror films than women is because their brain actually enjoys being scared more. Why is this, you ask? Research has shown that the hormone released in women when they are scared is chemically very similar to that released in sexual arousal, so the effects may seem related or even sometimes cause one another. Ok men, you know what to do next time you get a date now. Not that I'm condoning date rape, which is certainly neither convenient nor hilarious. |
